JOpt.Transportation

Product Description

JOpt.Transportation is a J2EE component out of the comprehensive set of JOpt tools. JOpt.Transportation functionality can be completely accessed via SOAP/Webservice interfaces and fits seamlessly into modern service oriented architectures (SOA). It uses specialized genetic algorithms to calculate an optimized allocation of your deliveries to your vehicles. The algorithms provides an optimized succession of the delivery points considering a set of different constraints.

The algorithm not only provides tours at minimum costs but also considers an arbitrary set of constraints for each tour. The constraints are easily modifiable so that individual business process can be represented. Define your own constraints and optimization goals in order to customize JOpt.Transportation to your specific planning requirements.

In particular, JOpt.Transportation can solve nearly any problem that can be classified by one of the follwing types:

ERP software developer may integrate the JOpt.Transportation component into their solution frame in order to offer their customers a consistent solution including optimziation of transportation schedules. A seamless integration into your software allows the look and feel of one piece of software for your customer. Developers will use the easy integration possibilities offered by the J2EE java frame, such as Oracle Application Server or similar frameworks. JOpt.Transportation's optimization criteria are easily modifiable in order to allow for suitable adaptation to the tour planning problem of your customer. Possible modification change optimization goals like definition of tour costs and constraint violations.

Demo & Trial Version

You can access JOpt functionality either via webservices hosted on DNA servers or you retrieve and deploy a copy of the JOpt J2EE component into a J2EE compliant application server of your choice.

Technical Specification / Licence

JOpt.Transportation can be deployed into any J2EE compliant application server, such as Oracle AS (recommended), JBoss, Websphere, Netweaver or Weblogic. These standards ensure the inherent use of persistent data management, load balancing and runtime performance optimization. Simple and seamless integration into existing software frameworks using J2EE standard webservice interfaces. Ready for use in service orientated architectures.
