JOpt.FieldService
JOpt.FieldService brings field service application knowledge to the J2EE and SDK components out of the comprehensive set of JOpt tools. This enhancement kit use the base components JOpt.J2EE or JOpt.SDK and adds all necessary knowledge of dispatchers in field service tasks.
JOpt.FieldService tailors the genetic algorithms of the base components and calculates an optimized allocation of field service jobs to a number of technicians. The algorithm allocates the jobs to the resources achieving minimum overall costs but taking into account a field service specific set of constraints for each resource. Nevertheless, the optimization constraints and their weights as introduced by this enhancement kit are still adaptable to individual field service or work force processes.
JOpt.FieldService can solve nearly any problem that can be classified by one of the follwing types:
- TSP - Travelling Salesman Problem - JOpt.FieldService finds the shortest or fastest path for your mobile resources
- VRPTW - Vehicle routing problem with time windows - JOpt.SDK finds an optimal allocation of orders and stops for your service technicians. The algorithm considers contraints for concerning individual skills, working times, availability of material and more.
JOpt.FieldService solves your dispatch problems and optimizes the deployment of mobile resources. It adds best practice knowledge to the optimization packages of JOpt.SDK or JOpt.J2EE. At least one the two base products are necessary to run the JOpt.FiledService tool. The base products will also help you to fully integrate your optimization and planning solution with standard ERP-software such as SAP since they will provide the necessary interface plugs.
